About Morten

Hello and welcome to my digital alcove, a place where technology, leadership, and personal growth intersect. I'm Morten, a seasoned CTO with a passion for agile methodologies, crafting scalable solutions, and mentoring the next wave of software development talent.

With over two decades in the tech industry, my path has taken me from the realms of a curious child tinkering with a ZX Spectrum, through the halls of KTH in Stockholm where I earned my Masters in Computer Science, to the strategic boardrooms of SaaS, nonprofit, and supply chain management companies. Along the way, I've embraced the roles of developer, team lead, and CTO, each step fuelled by my drive for continuous learning and improvement.

My technical expertise spans event sourcing, continuous delivery, microservices, and domain-driven design, with a particular focus on code generation for efficiency and scalability. Beyond the code, I champion self-organizing teams, iterative development, and a leadership style enriched by nearly a decade of experience as a scout leader. There, I focused on fostering self-reliance, self-esteem, and self-leadership among youths—values that I carry into my professional leadership philosophy.

This blog is my platform to share insights from my journey, explore the latest in technology trends, and discuss the nuances of leadership in the tech space. From detailed articles on architectural patterns to reflections on team dynamics and personal growth, my goal is to provide content that resonates with fellow developers, leaders, and anyone passionate about making a meaningful impact through technology.

Join me here as we navigate the evolving landscape of software development, leadership, and the pursuit of excellence in both our professional and personal lives.
